Community Giving

We donate over half of our after-tax profits — more than 68 times the national corporate average — to Community Based Organizations (CBOs). These groups include health, art & culture, environmental, education and human services organizations. With over $4 million in donations, we are ranked as one of Northern California's largest corporate donors.

Paper = Food

You can help feed the hungry in California by simply buying something you use anyway. Each time you buy a case of our 30% or 100% recycled paper, GSB, Inc. and Boise Inc. donate $1 to select California food banks. Because food banks receive donated goods and services, that $1 can provide 4 meals. Check out our paper and support your local food bank.

These are just a few of the hundreds of nonprofits to which we have donated since our inception in 1991. See a complete list of last year's donation recipients or download our 2009 Annual Giving Report. Find out about our grant request and balloting processes here.
