These are just a few of the many opportunities to learn and grow that GSB provides our employees.
Initial and Recurrent Training: GSB ensures that each and every employee receives thorough training through a comprehensive orientation program followed by specific job-related skills training. Through on the job and classroom training, they receive continuous skills and product training in FUN and educational environments.
Training Thursdays: Sales and support employees attend 2-hour training classes for skills and performance improvement. More recent topics include, “How to help your customers go green.”
Leadership Training: Through formal classroom training as well as informal mentorship and coaching, company leaders learn and refine management skills such as delegation, performance coaching, hiring and firing, etc.
Personal Development: In partnership with community partners like the community colleges and financial institutions, GSB offers classes on business writing, basic computer skills, financial literacy classes, time management, etc.
Community Awareness: Each month, a non-profit organization makes a presentation to our monthly staff meeting to promote awareness of their organization and educate or employees about community needs.
Moving Around the Company: GSB loves to promote from within. We also encourage movement around the company to increase skills and company knowledge.
Cross Training: Interested in another department or position? We encourage spending a few hours or a day observing and learning about other Teams.
